On Sept 18, 1901, Alderson Academy was founded in Alderson, West Virginia, by Emma Alderson, a committed Baptist laywoman. Classes started with 40 students. As the years passed, Alderson Academy added junior college status.
Financial hardship in the late 1920’s led to the decision to merge Broaddus College and Alderson Junior College to become Alderson-Broaddus College in Phillipi, West Virginia.

Whitney Linck seeks beauty in every season of life and around every corner. Every walk of life and every journey is unique, so every photo tells its own story. Whitney is a natural light digital photographer who has transitioned from weddings, posing, and portraits to scenic and natural lifestyle photography. She shares her divinely inspired message through her work by capturing tender nature moments. When speaking about her photography Whitney says “Worship is not only a song and a prayer, but also every blade of grass, breath of air, stone and tree, bull and mare”. Whitney lives in Horton, Kansas, devoted to her faith and family, and leads a full life as loving wife, mother of 6 fur-babies, worship leader, graphic designer, craft enthusiast, and yogi She is a graduate of Full Sail University with a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, a graduate of Dharma House School Of Yoga, and a RYT-200 instructor registered with the Yoga Alliance.
